The Battle Of Syntagma is the first book of Dimos Vosinakis. It was released in the early February of 2012 - the same period that was announced new reductions in wages and pensions. It is an attempt to describe the situation in Greece after the coming of the International Monetary Fund, while emphasizing to the reaction of the people, as expressed by the mass movement of "indignants" and the incredible police intervention in Syntagma Square on the 28-29 of June 2011. Moreover, it refers to the institutions that brought Greece in these tragic levels.

The author, like the book, consider the events from the perspective of the fighting Greek people, who decided to resist in every possible way, in order not to pass the new debilitating measures. Measures dictated by the IMF and implemented by its Greek puppets and aim to cause great depression in the already faltering Greek economy and make poor large parts of the population. The prologue of the book is written by Makis Papadimitratos (director, script writer and actor in some of the most innovative films of the modern Greek cinema), who among other things, devotes much time to the development and spread of direct democracy.
